Every year we in the wedding industry wait with baited breath to find out what Pantone’s color of the year will be. 2014 was the year of orchid, an extremely pretty shade of luxurious purple. We saw it everywhere, from bridesmaids dresses to bouquets and even desserts. While we are sad to bid orchid adieu, we can’t help but be excited for the new 2015 color of the year! We don’t know what it is yet, but trust us, there will definitely be a blog post on it.

In the mean time, Pantone has announced the colors they expect to be trending in Spring 2015. Moving away from the louder colors of 2014, this years palette is much more subtle and classic. As always, we expect that the wedding season will be highly influenced by these color choices. So let’s celebrate the spring by looking into each color in depth. We hope to give you a little bit of inspiration for your big day in 2015!

The first color announced is Aquamarine, a soft pale blue reminiscent of still waters. It’s a great color for spring, both cool and calming. If you are still looking for your “something blue”, Aquamarine is a wonderful, soft choice.
